Jorat-Menthue Arboretums
Jorat-Menthue is fortunate to have several arboretums, offering visitors the chance to learn about trees from our region and beyond.
Along marked paths lined with wood chips, hundreds of different tree species are on display and described. The diversity of the plants, both native and exotic, makes for an enjoyable and unique educational walk.
The Montaubion-Chardonney Arboretum
Running alongside the River Mougin, the arboretum is situated behind the former secondary school.
The Villars-Mendraz Arboretum
Created as part of the celebrations marking the 700th anniversary of the Confederation, it is situated opposite the cemetery, between the hamlets of Rebet and La Montagne.
The Esserts Arboretum in Villars-Tiercelin
It is situated on the road towards Route des Paysans, in the locality known as ‘Les Esserts’, near the forestry and roads department building and the football pitch.
The Sottens Arboretum
It is situated at the south-western edge of the former boundary of Sottens, in the Mollard woods.
