The Bois Neuf pond is a small artificial lake along the Le Trési stream. The municipality of Etagnières created this lake in 2014 in collaboration with the Cantonal Forestry Service. Designed for fishing (licence required), you’ll also find a picnic area there with a barbecue provided for grilling.

It is not possible to walk all the way round the lake. Only the north-western shore is accessible via footbridges and two headlands.

Access:

By public transport: LEB railway, Etagnières stop; walk 20 minutes across fields and through the forest to the lake (1.6 km).
By car: take the cantonal road linking Lausanne to Echallens; at the LEB station in Etagnières, turn left onto Rue du Bourg, then onto Chemin de la Forêt and follow this road to the entrance to Bois Neuf, where a small car park is located about 400 m from the pond.
