The aim of the Association de l'Espace culturel Assens is to provide a platform for contemporary artistic expression. The magnificent restored farmhouse is home to the gallery: a place for meetings and events designed to satisfy and arouse the interest and curiosity of its many visitors. Within the walls of its gallery, the Espace culturel Assens has been exhibiting established and recognised artists, as well as promising young ones, since 1998. Its exhibitions within the walls can be extended by art trails in the surrounding countryside. The gallery also organises concerts, performances, literary evenings, workshops and other conferences and debates, starting out from the realm of art and working across its boundaries to cover all the themes of our society. The Espace culturel Assens is a not-for-profit association with over 120 members from all walks of life who are keen to support its projects and help promote art far beyond the Gros-de-Vaud region.
