The Sentier du Talent is a picturesque hiking trail that follows the twists and turns of the Talent river and its molasse banks. It passes through wooded areas, is characterised by its astonishing tranquillity and offers a diverse range of flora and fauna. The Sentier du Talent is signposted between Montheron and the Place du Pont in Echallens. 
The "Sentier du Talent" signs will guide you along the route.

The trail crosses the municipalities of Lausanne, Bretigny-sur-Morrens, Cugy, Morrens, Assens, Bottens and Echallens over a total length of 9.8 km.

PLACES OF INTEREST ALONG THE WAY: 

- The Canal de Cugy supplied water to the water wheel of the former sawmill and later to the grain mill, which is no longer in operation today.
- The Canal de la Scierie de Brétigny, an old wooden wheel, still bears witness to this former activity.
- The Canal du Moulin d'Assens carried water to the mill in Assens. Today, you will find an excellent restaurant with barbecue cuisine there.
- The Canal d'Echallens used to supply the mill. Today, this canal is used by the Echallens fish farm, which is responsible for hatching and raising brown trout fry.

PLACES OF INTEREST:
- Montheron Abbey is one of the last examples of Cistercian architecture in the canton of Vaud. It was founded in 1142 by the strict monks of the Cistercian order.
- Place de l'Orme in Morrens is home to an ancient oak tree and offers a magnificent view of the fields of Gros-de-Vaud and the Jura.
- The Assens cultural centre aims to provide a platform for artistic expression and create a meeting place for people from the region and elsewhere. There are various exhibitions to discover.
- The Swiss Grain and Bread Museum in Echallens is the only museum in Switzerland that deals with agriculture, milling and baking. This living craft museum presents the fascinating history of grain and bread on three exhibition levels. Throughout the year, there are temporary exhibitions to discover and baked goods are made right before your eyes.
