La Fournée: a celebration of the bread professions

This event honours the three professions essential to bread production: the farmer, the miller and the baker.

For the occasion, 8 ovens are exceptionally lit in Gros-de-Vaud, in the following villages:

- Bottens
- Démoret
- Essertines-sur-Yverdon
- Montaubion-Chardonney
- Naz
- Poliez-le-Grand
- Poliez-Pittet
- Sugnens

There is a cycle path connecting the bakeries in a convivial setting.

Two gourmet options for your palate:

🥐 A tasty brunch awaits you at the Moulin d'Echallens - the perfect opportunity to enjoy regional produce in a cosy atmosphere(reservation required).

🥾 A gastronomic walk organised by the Prométerre Association will delight your eyes and taste buds! (circular walk Echallens-Poliez-le-Grand, 7.5 km - reservation required).


During the day, don't miss the guided visit to the Echallens mill - a fascinating insight into milling(reservation required).

The festival is in full swing with numerous stands, animations and demonstrations in the mill exhibition area and at the kilns.
