Swiss Wheat and Bread Museum

A museum, a bakery, tasty activities for young and old!

The only museum in Switzerland to cover agriculture, milling and baking, this lively craft museum presents the fabulous history of grain and bread on three levels.
The Association Cantonale du Costume Vaudois also presents a fine collection of traditional Vaudois clothing.

Children will discover “The Path of Ti'Grain”, a tour specially designed for young visitors, comprising 20 educational stages, an original audiovisual and an educational pack.

Current temporary exhibition: 150 years of the LEB
The presence of this exhibition in a place dedicated to the bread industry may seem incongruous. But when you think about it, the history of the LEB is intimately linked to that of Gros-de-Vaud, and its line crosses the fields where the cereals that make crisp bread grow. Old trains and bread also have in common the need for a good wood fire: one to move forward, the other to carry out its final transformation.

Museum opening hours:
Tuesday to Sunday
