Weizenweg

The Wheat Trail begins in Echallens, some 15 kilometres from Lausanne, and is a signposted and educational circular route around 100 kilometres long. It winds its way through fields and woods against the backdrop of the Alps and the Jura. Discover the landscapes and villages where farmers rear livestock and grow wheat and potatoes. In this unspoilt corner of the canton of Vaud, you’ll find inns and restaurants. Nine themed stops tell the story of the regional landscape. These points of interest, rest areas and picnic spots are located along the trail, either directly in the villages or in the immediate vicinity. Each village also has an information point offering details on its history and architecture, as well as suggestions for circular walks in the surrounding area. The Wheat Trail is accessible on foot and by bike and can be explored at any time of year.
